Reviewing changes

See what changed, check the result, and discard changes you don't want.

Review CodeNeter's work before you keep it. The conversation shows each change as it happens, and the Changes tab shows the full diff.

In the conversation

Each file CodeNeter creates, edits, or deletes appears as a step in the conversation, in the order it happened.

In the Changes tab

To open it, click the New tab button (+) and choose Changes. The tab needs a Git repository.

The Changes tab shows your project's Git changes, including edits you made yourself, not only CodeNeter's.

  • Choose Uncommitted, Staged, or Unstaged to set which changes are listed.
  • Expand a file to read its diff, or open the file.
  • Stage or unstage files one at a time or all at once, then write a message and commit.

Check the result

Ask CodeNeter to run your project's existing checks, such as tests, a type check, lint, or a build, and to fix what fails. Then review the changes again.

Discard changes

To discard one file, use the discard button on its row. More actions > Discard all changes applies to every file in the selected scope, even files hidden by the search filter. CodeNeter asks you to confirm first.

Discarding can't be undone and isn't limited to CodeNeter's edits. Tracked files go back to their last committed version, losing staged and unstaged changes, including your own. Untracked files, and files in a repository with no commits yet, are deleted.

Discard only affects uncommitted changes. It doesn't undo commits, and it isn't tied to a conversation. To undo one part of CodeNeter's work and keep the rest, ask CodeNeter to revert that change.
