Editor extension
Install the editor extension, open the chat, and review CodeNeter's edits in your files.
The CodeNeter extension brings the agent into your editor, working on the folder you have open. Along with your files, the agent can read the editor's problems, such as type errors and lint warnings.
Install and sign in
The extension works in VS Code 1.90 or later and in VS Code-based editors such as Cursor and Antigravity. Installation has the Marketplace and Open VSX links.
To sign in, run CodeNeter: Sign In from the Command Palette, or choose Sign in when CodeNeter prompts you. Sign-in finishes in your browser.
Opening the chat
The CodeNeter icon in the activity bar opens the chat. Other actions, such as starting a new chat, opening settings, and connecting Codex, are in the Command Palette under CodeNeter.
Reviewing edits in the editor
When CodeNeter edits a file, the change is highlighted in the editor, with Undo | Keep just below the changed lines. Keep accepts the edit. Undo puts the file back the way it was before CodeNeter's edit. A file CodeNeter created is deleted.
The edit summary in the conversation offers the same choices for a whole set of edits or for one file at a time.
Undo restores the file's earlier contents, so changes you made to that file after CodeNeter's edit are lost too.
