Codex integration

Connect your OpenAI account to use GPT models in CodeNeter with the Codex allowance from your ChatGPT plan. CodeNeter doesn't charge for these requests, and the integration works on any CodeNeter plan, including Free.

CodeNeter's agent harness

Codex models use CodeNeter's tools to search your project, edit files, run commands, and work in the built-in browser. Your approval settings still apply, and you review edits in the Changes tab.

Usage and limits

OpenAI's Codex usage limits still apply. Connecting makes GPT models available in the model picker even on CodeNeter Free. Other models and Auto continue to use your CodeNeter plan.

Connect your account

Connect from the Integrations settings in the desktop app or the editor extension, or run /connect codex login in the CLI. You sign in with your OpenAI account in your browser; no API key is needed. Disconnect from the same settings or with /connect codex logout.

The desktop app and the CLI on the same computer share one connection. The editor extension keeps its own.
