Quickstart
Open a project in the desktop app, ask about the code, make one small change, and check it.
This walkthrough uses the desktop app. If you haven't installed it and signed in yet, follow Installation first.
Open a project
Click Open Folder in the sidebar and choose your project's folder.
A Git repository works best, because the review step uses Git to show what changed.
Ask about the code
Set the mode picker in the message box to Agent. It also offers Plan and Ask.
Start with a question about the project, such as:
How is this project organized, and how do I run its tests?
To point CodeNeter at a file or folder, type @ and pick it from the list. If the answer looks at the wrong files, say so before you ask for a change.
Make one small change
Ask CodeNeter to suggest something small:
Find a small improvement in this project. Explain what you’d change before editing.
Pick one of its suggestions, or describe a small task of your own. CodeNeter may ask for approval before it runs a command. Approve only commands you expect.
Review and check
Review the changes when CodeNeter finishes. Ask it to check the result using your project's tests, type checker, or build.
Next steps
