Projects and conversations
Open project folders in the desktop app, organize conversations, and pick up earlier work.
In the desktop app, a project is a folder on your computer. Each conversation belongs to one project, and the agent works on that project's files.
Open a project
Click Open Folder in the sidebar and choose a folder. It appears under Projects, with its conversations listed below it.
Start a conversation
New Agent at the top of the sidebar starts a conversation in the selected project. The + on a project row starts one in that project. Each conversation keeps its own mode and model.
Continue earlier work
Click a conversation in the sidebar to reopen it and continue. Search at the top of the sidebar finds conversations.
Organize conversations
Open a conversation's actions menu to:
- Pin or Unpin it.
- Rename it.
- Fork it into a new conversation with the same history. The fork works in the same project folder, so file changes from either conversation land in the same files.
- Mark as read or Mark as unread.
- Archive it, or Restore an archived conversation.
- Delete permanently, which removes the conversation and its saved history.
Fork, Archive, and Delete aren't available while that conversation is running.
To find archived conversations, choose Archived from the Organize sidebar menu next to Projects.
Manage projects
A project's actions menu can start a conversation, copy the project path, archive or restore all of its conversations, and remove the project.
Remove repository only takes the project out of the sidebar. Its files and conversations stay on disk.
