Remote access
Follow and steer a CLI session running on your computer from a browser signed in to your CodeNeter account.
Remote access lets you follow a CLI session from a browser and keep it moving when you're away from your terminal. The session keeps running on your computer: file access and commands stay local, and the browser shows the session and sends your messages and answers back to it. The session is available only while the CLI is running with remote access on.
Start a remote session
codeneter remote-controlThis starts an interactive session with remote access already on. In a session that's already running, /remote turns remote access on or off.
When remote access turns on, the CLI shows a link to the session. Open it in a browser signed in to the same CodeNeter account, or go to the Remote page to see all your sessions.
In the browser
- The Sessions list shows your remote sessions, each marked Active or Disconnected.
- The conversation and tool activity appear as the agent works.
- You can send follow-up messages, attach images when the model accepts them, and change the mode or model.
- You can answer approval requests and questions, or stop the current response.
- Copy share link copies a link that opens the session directly. It works only for your account.
Access and control
Only your CodeNeter account can see or control your remote sessions. Approvals still apply, so actions that need approval wait for your answer. Turning remote access off with /remote, or quitting the CLI, ends browser access to the session.
